Blurb

Never thought I’d agree to a marriage of convenience to my hot, firefighter ex boyfriend.
Especially after he casually informs me we’ve been married for ten years.

Ten years ago, Wilder and I were so in love that we got married in Vegas for one night only before leaving for college on different sides of the world. He was supposed to mail the annulment papers.

Problem is, he didn’t.
Worse? He didn’t tell me.
Not even when I came back to town to marry another man.

But now he needs my help, and I can’t say no. All I have to do is have to pretend in front of the whole town like we’re married. Hold hands. Kiss. Not throw myself at him when he looks at me like I’m the only woman in the world.

My body might remember him, but the rest of me isn’t ready. Because I’m just learning how to find myself, and if I get wrapped up in Wilder’s world, I’ll lose more than my heart—I’ll lose everything.
Again.

Review

5 “Ten second hugs” stars!

I love second chance romances and Hot Shot did not disappoint. It gives us all the feels as Cass and Wilder fall in love a second time. They were highschool sweethearts who spontaneously get married in Vegas to have one night loving each other completely before they have an ocean separating them when they leave for different colleges. The plan was to get the marriage annulled the next day.

Ten years pass and Cass comes back to town for her own wedding to the man she met overseas. When she’s dumped at the altar and ends up finding out she is still married to Wilder, she is a hot mess. But Wilder needs her help when a surprise comes knocking on his door and what follows is a fun, fresh, sweet second chance romance for these two wonderful characters as well as some fantastic side characters to cheer them on.

Cass and Wilder were in love as teens and that love never really fizzled even though they thought they moved on. When they are thrown into a situation that has them living together and playing house, all those feelings come rushing back.

This story has so many of my favorite tropes. It’s a great take on the fake marriage/marriage of convenience trope and I just loved that they were forced together. The back and forth between Cass and Wilder is hilarious and they really know how to turn up the heat. I also love that Wilder is all in while Cass is the one that needs to figure out just what she wants. I loved the small town feel we get and the characters we meet. The surprise that forces them together is one of my favorite parts of the story. It’s not easy to navigate their path but I loved being there every step of the way.

From lighthearted interactions to deeply emotional ones, to even mysterious moments, this book gave me tons of feels. It’s a wild ride but so much fun.

The Roseville Ramblers is such a great series and I loved seeing Jessa and Remy (from Wild Card) again. Hot Shot was a great addition to this series and I can’t wait for more! I need the next book because I love a good age gap romance too!!

About the Author

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
