Blurb
Just what every bride dreams of—running straight from her cheating fiancé into the arms of a hot hockey star… and then getting hired as his kids’ nanny.
Tyler Falcon is protective, flirtatious…and frustratingly responsible. We almost did something reckless when he found me alone in my wedding dress, and I blurted out all the things I’d never truly experienced.
Now, the sexy single dad is saving me again with a job I desperately need—and a promise to never mention The Night of 1001 Confessions.
I live in his house. Take care of his kids. Pretend I don’t notice his heated gaze lingering on me after they fall asleep.
Until one night, the tension snaps.
Now we have a deal. Five lessons in seduction. No strings attached.
But he’s not just good in bed. He spoils me with thoughtful gifts and supports my dreams. For the first time, I feel like I belong.
Except…this was never meant to last. I’m his employee. He has kids to protect. And neither of us can afford to make a mistake.
The more nights we spend tangled up together though, the harder it is to pretend it’s just physical. Because I’m not only falling for my boss—I’m falling for the man whose kids have stolen my heart.
Tropes: single dad/nanny, runaway bride, forced proximity, spicy lessons, she’s his daughter’s skating coach, confession of all secrets, love notes, found family

Tyler
“Are you a troublemaker, Tyler?”
“Maybe I was. Back in the day,” I say.
Her lips shift in amusement. “Think you’ve still got it in you?”
“Those are fighting words.” I drum my fingers on the counter. “How about trouble in the form of a spicy margarita? Can you handle the heat?”
Her smile falters for just a second, as if I’d asked about more than a drink. “I don’t even know.”
Her blue eyes flicker with something deeper—with uncertainty, maybe, or a vulnerability she’s trying to hide. Or possibly…interest. Since for a moment her gaze lingers on me, roams over me, like she’s trying to figure something out.
Like what she wants me to do to her tonight?
What the f*&k?
That is not a thought I should be entertaining. Too bad my lust-struck mind is already running away with the image, imagining what could have been if she wasn’t wearing that damn ring. Not today, brain. Stand down.
“Let’s find out,” I say, as I resume the role of runaway-bride wingman. I change her order, and when the bartender returns with the margarita, we toast again, her with her cocktail, me with my lager, which—as Ike promised—is incredibly good.
“To the opposite of today.”
“The opposite,” she echoes, her gaze…curious. But I don’t want to read into it even though I want to read everything into it.

4.5 stars!
The Overtime Kiss is the fifth book in the Love and Hockey series and features Tyler and Sabrina. Tyler is a single dad who plays hockey with the Sea Dogs and Sabrina is a figure skater who sometimes performs during the intermissions at hockey games. Ever since setting his eyes on Sabrina, Tyler‘s always been interested, but she was engaged so he crushed on her from afar.
Then, when the night of Sabrina’s wedding doesn’t go as planned, she runs into Tyler and they end up hanging out and having a great time. Because of a little too much alcohol, she opens up to him about things she wouldn’t have said if there wasn’t drinking involved, and though there’s a spark, nothing happens that night. As fate would have it, just when Tyler thinks he could make his move, she ends up being his nanny so he knows that spark they felt can’t grow into more.
I really enjoyed Tyler and Sabrina‘s story. Tyler is a loving father, a great athlete, and an all around good guy. Sabrina is a talented figure skater who almost made it to the Olympics, and now since she walked away from a marriage to a jerk, is trying to make her way on her own away from the people who don’t support her but teaching skating. She is a sweet, friendly, wonderful woman who cares about people and the kids she teaches, and a lot of fun to be around.
When Tyler and Sabrina hang out, there’s definitely chemistry but because she’s the nanny, she’s now off-limits. I love this trope because when done well the sexual tension grows until you know they’re going to explode. This is how Tyler and Sabrina are. They’re so good together and have amazing chemistry, but they also care about the same things, and he’s a loving father and she’s wonderful with his kids.
Sabrina and Tyler also decide they can have a little no-strings attached fun as they work through some of the ideas she had the night she opened up to him. I love that they find a way to work around the whole boss/employee challenge by giving into her desires, which are very much his desires too. I really enjoyed being along for the ride as they get to know each other and learn what they really want. What they don’t expect is their feelings to start getting in the way of their perfect plan.
We might have a game plan for sex—we might be mostly sticking to it—but what’s the game plan for…well, life?
Tyler and Sabrina are just what the other didn’t know they needed. They have fun but they can be real with each other. I also love that they don’t let a bunch of drama get in the way.
I also adore the kids and I even loved his relationship with his ex-wife. Of course I enjoyed seeing the characters who we’ve met in previous books again, and they all add to the storyline making the whole book enjoyable from the first page to the last.
