It’s a great set up, and this book is a lot of fun with the most gorgeous love story. I loved it!

Loomis Powell was introduced earlier in the series as the best friend of fellow movie star, Tinsley. He is an English actor, and the hottest thing in Hollywood, but his world has been rocked with the arrival of a baby he had no idea about. Little Fen was left on his family’s doorstep, and he has leapt into the role of fatherhood, loving on his son and doing his best to protect him from the attention that he attracts as a huge celebrity. Though he’s facing a fight to hold on to custody.

Keegan Fritz is a member of the huge and all-powerful Fritz dynasty. She’s carrying on the family name by becoming a doctor, but her passion truly lies in writing paranormal romance, and she’s trying to figure out how to balance the two. She’s also got a newly-ex boyfriend who is fighting to get her back, and then she’s sucked into celebrity gossip when she’s spotted on an innocent outing with Loomis and his son. In a desperate attempt to escape it all, she heads off to a remote island in the Florida Keyes for two weeks, and knowing that Loomis also needs some privacy, she invites him along to give him a break from the relentless paparazzi and to fuel the rumour that they’re actually in a committed relationship to show that he’s a family man.

It’s a such a fun set up, I was feeling the chemistry, and the sexual tension is so good! After a slow burn, their first kiss is explosive and things move pretty quickly from there.

“I don’t want this to be fake anymore. I want it to be real. I want us to be real. I want you to be mine because I’m already yours.”

They are playful and they tease, and the emotions are running high from the very beginning. It’s also seriously hot and steamy, and the connection between these two is sizzling in all the ways.

“Oh god. Keep doing that.”
He chuckles … “You’re adorable when you think you’re in charge of how I fuck you.”

Their idyllic getaway can only last for so long though, and real life brings problems and stress – especially when somebody seemingly has it out for them. They have some drama to deal with and some issues to work through, but through it all they are functional and honest with each other, they keep it angst-free, and they’re all in with the heartfelt emotion, and it’s all so freaking swoony!

She’s love. She’s everything I never knew was possible. Everything I never dreamed of or even wanted. Keegan Fritz is undeniably unexpected, and I can’t get enough of her.

In the midst of everything, Keegan is struggling with decisions over her future, and I have to say that her concerns over the negative perception of her writing paranormal romance was really well done. The world is so judgy about what is dismissed as “smut”, and Saman made so many excellent points with this one, I thought that whole storyline was handled so well!

This is such a beautiful read. It’s funny and sweet, sexy and beautifully romantic. I loved Loomis and Keegan as characters and there is lots of involvement from side-characters that create such a fantastically fun dynamic when the group all comes together. I love this series so much, and this is another fantastic read.
