English rockstar Elijah Webb is more than meets the eye. Being different might have made his childhood hell, but as an adult it’s opened doors to fame and fortune … and the supernatural underworld. Now that he knows all about the creatures that go bump in the night, Elijah’s pretty sure he’s a warlock. Powerful than most, but a warlock, nonetheless.
What else could he be, right?
Vampire Echo Payne is more than happy to infiltrate Elijah’s life to uncover whether the rockstar is one of the seven fae-borne prophesied to open the gate to Faerie. Having encountered one of his kind before, she knows he’s fae as soon as they meet. Her adoptive father, William, might want her to kill Elijah, but Echo has other plans now that she knows William is the monster who destroyed her family. She plans to end William Payne’s reign of terror and save her sister from the same fate she herself endured. But Echo needs Elijah’s help. Who cares about the blazing attraction that flares between them? Not Echo. She needs his fae gifts, not his addictive kisses.
When Elijah discovers Echo’s deception and the truth about what he is, he wants nothing but to protect his human parents. To do that, he has to trust the sexy vampire he can’t help but wish wanted him as much as she wanted revenge. Together they will travel across continents to help the other protect those they hold dearest and in doing so discover how deeply entwined their destinies really are…
For a peaceful future together might just be in the cards if Echo can let go of the past. But to win it, they will have to join forces with the other fae and their mates. It will take all of them to bring down their enemies. And if they fail, no one can save the human world from the darkness of Faerie.

It’s been a long time coming, but the fourth and final book in the True Immortality series is absolutely worth the wait! An exciting and action-packed paranormal romance, this is a fantastic enemies-to-lovers, fated romance with a gorgeous love story, and it’s a fantastic finish for the series.
I wouldn’t recommend reading this book as a standalone, but there is enough background given where you could follow the story without having read the previous books. It’s very useful for those of us who had forgotten some of the details leading into this one, however there is a lot of character crossover, and you will definitely understand and appreciate it more if you’ve the earlier books – which are all fantastic reads, so don’t miss out on those!
Echo is a vampire who has recently learned that her adoptive father is an evil monster and her whole life is a life. When he tasks her to track down and kill one of only seven powerful fae who has the power to open the gate to faerie, she realises that this could be her opportunity to get herself and her younger human sister away out of his clutches once and for all.
Rockstar Elijah has lived his life with special powers. He has learned about the secretive supernatural world and figures he’s a warlock, but when Echo crashes into his life declaring him one of the fae and insisting that his life is in danger, his whole world is upended. She offers safety for himself and his family in return for his help protecting her sister, and so the two team up on a globe-crossing, action-packed adventure, to help their families and bring down her father, all the while avoiding their many enemies.
It’s not the easiest situation, but despite their difficulties, neither can deny their mad attraction, and the chemistry and sexual tension is SO good! Luckily there’s lots of forced proximity so they have time to talk and get to know each other, they get deep and open up about their pasts and their vulnerabilities, and they throw themselves into exploring their wild passion for each other, quickly realising that there’s so much more to each other than they initially thought, and they fall hard and fast.
“You are not a monster. You are not just a vampire. You are a woman. My woman. I think I claimed you from the moment we locked eyes in that bar. And I think you claimed me right back.”
This is such a great read and I love these characters! I love that Elijah is a rockstar, even if it’s not a pivotal part of the story, it definitely brings an extra edge, and though we see him embracing all that comes with the rocker lifestyle, he’s a total golden retriever – sweet, sexy and protective, and I just adored him. And Echo is fabulously complex. She’s dealing with a lot, and a relationship was never in her plan, and even in the midst of all of the chaos, there’s an emotional element to this one as they come to terms with their immortality, their connections to both the human and supernatural world, and what a future might look like.
The characters from the previous books show up right when things really get intense, bringing some much needed support, and Elijah’s fae siblings and their mates all join forces to help Elijah and Echo on their mission to take down the bad guys and ensure all of their safety once and for all in an epic battle to save the world.
Full of all of the excitement, drama, action, and supernatural badassery that I have come to expect from this series, I devoured this book and read it in a day. I couldn’t put it down and loved losing myself in this world and the heartfelt journey of the characters. There’s an epilogue which gives closure for all four couples of the series, and I finished this book feeling so satisfied with how it all ended.
Such a great read – 5 stars!
