5 “the best thing” stars!
I absolutely adored Avery and Henry’s story. I had no idea what these two would have to go through but in the end, their experience changed everything.
Avery and Henry come from different worlds even though they have been in each other’s lives since they were young. Henry is Avery’s brother, Beau’s best friend. He is an adrenaline junkie who has worked hard to make a name for himself. Avery is into fashion, spending money, goes through guys like it’s her job, and doesn’t really work even though her real job is working for her father. These two seem like oil and water but when they are thrown into a serious situation, they end up being just what the other needed.
Avery and Henry are awesome together. I love that she shows him a side he’s never seen and he realizes that she is so much more than she shows the world. She is fun, silly, and a hot mess at times, but she is kind and has a huge heart. I love her relationship with her best friend June and her friends from The Pines.
Henry is my new book boyfriend. The way he takes care of Avery and supports her dreams is beautiful, even as she doesn’t know what her true dreams are. I love that he is there for her, and doesn’t let any drama get in the way of them being together. I love that they are good in and out of the bed room. They know how to turn up the heat but also to bring on the sweet and swoony moments.
I love that this story took turns I didn’t see coming. I was hooked on the very first chapter and was shocked with where the story landed Avery and Henry. And then I loved that they were able to truly get to know each other on a. Deeper level, letting them into their hearts, especially when neither had been in love.
I love how the story is a fantastic mix of hilarious moments and serious ones. I enjoyed all the interactions between them and their friends and family and had a smile on my face the entire time. I loved seeing June and Beau again. They always make me happy. And my heart swooned the more time they spent together as I saw their love story unfold. And the epilogue was icing on the cake!
