This is a super short read that still manages to be sweet, swoony and totally satisfying. A brother’s-best-friend, friends-to-lovers Christmas novella and a gorgeous love story.
Goldie’s brother is getting married on Christmas day, and his best friend, Ace, who is now a movie star, is flying in to their small home town to be best man. Goldie and Ace grew up together and are also close friends, and with Goldie suddenly single for the for the time in years, Ace knows this is his chance to claim the woman he’s always wanted.
At 57 pages, this is a pretty straightforward story with no drama or conflict (and no sexy time), just two good friends coming together easily and sweetly with the “it’s always been you” feels that I love about this kind of story.
Such a sweet read – 3.5 stars.
