“Falling in love was just the beginning.”

5 AMAZING, JUST-WHAT-WE-WANTED STARS!

“The conclusion to the epic ten-book series about the unbreakable strength of family, friendship, and love.

Lily & Lo are back one final time. Childhood best friends and soul mates.
Ryke & Daisy are back one final time. Wild risk-takers and flirty adventurers.
Connor & Rose are back one final time. Genius rivals and intellectual teammates.

Ten years of laughter. Of heartache. And love.”

Oh. Hell. Yes! How many times have you finished a much-loved book or series and wished for just a little bit more – a chance to see characters that we have come to care for deeply living beyond their happy ending – to see where they end up, how they get there, and actually SEE that happy ending unfold before your eyes. Well, thank you to God, and Krista and Becca Ritchie because that’s exactly what they’ve given us with this gem of a read.

This book is an epilogue to the Addicted series, and it’s not a continuous story, but rather a collection of scenes over the course of around 10 years, allowing us glimpses into the lives of Lo, Lilly, Connor, Rose, Ryke and Daisy – from each of their perspectives. We get to see highs and lows as the characters from the series continue to grow and develop. Some scenes are profound, some are fun, some are steamy hot, and some are just the pure magic that is this group together. Children are born, challenges are faced, fun is had and love is everywhere as we get to see these much-loved characters living out their happy endings.

“I gave you my heart a long time ago, and I’m not sure I remind you enough that you still have it. All of it.”

I loved just how much there was to this book. Not just a simple epilogue that tells us what happened, but it shows us what happened, how, and why. We get to experience everything with these characters, get to see and know their children, watch them as parents with their growing families – both as a whole and one-on-one – and we see the continued development of their relationships with each other, as the intensity between them only deepens with time.

Our children will be raised differently, and that’s alright. I sense our strength together, our support for each other’s choices.
Today, I’ve fallen in deeper love with these people.
No matter which direction we fucking move, we’ll all still be there.

The character dynamics in this series are some of the best I have ever read, and I loved immersing myself back in this world with these characters that are so different, so unique, so flawed and yet so absolutely perfect, one final time.

“How much more is there?” Years. Lifetimes.
On a different occasion, half of us might frown. The other half might recoil. I’d always stay impassive, but tonight, in this moment, we all just smile. Our histories may contain darkness, but there is great light. I found love in that time. Love that extends to these five people.

It was perfect. I laughed, I cried, I fanned myself and I melted into a puddle of goo on the floor. I had all the feels. And for fans of the series, an absolute must-read.

And then we end- we end where we started.
Just us.

5 stars!
