5 stars!

I love books with fake relationships and Faking It did not disappoint. It is entertaining, original, and a whole lot of fun, and frankly, I devoured it. From the creative storyline and wonderful characters to the amazing narration, it’s one of those books you don’t want to put down so you try to find reasons to keep listening.

The story starts with a hilarious meet cute that leads to a crazy scenario that gets more complicated as the days go by. Harlow and Zane couldn’t imagine the positions they’d put themselves in and it couldn’t have been more entertaining.

Harlow is an aspiring model who is hardly making ends meet and Zane is a billionaire launching a dating website. Zane doesn’t believe in love and Harlow wants the fairytale ending. They get on each other’s last nerves, and when they are thrown together as a “couple in love,” all sorts of hilarity follow.

Harlow is genuine and sweet but can stand her own. She is a breath of fresh air to Zane. Sex on a stick with a voice to match and a total flirt, Zane is cocky, confident, and arrogant but he is so freaking swoony.

Harlow and Zane are two people who couldn’t be more different who turn out to be perfect for each other. The banter is sensational and every interaction is comical as they meet each other match for match and constantly try to one up the other. Things change the more time they spend together and along with the fun, there is a whole lot of heart.

I loved watching Harlow and Zane rediscover what it is like to experience the feelings that come with caring about someone. They revel in the desires to just be with each other and as their feelings grow, it’s the last thing they want or expect. It’s frustrating, confusing, and utterly delicious at the same time, and the sexual tension builds perfectly. They crank up the heat until there is the inevitable explosion, and it is sexy and steamy.
Add in the heartwarming, smile inducing feel good epilogue which was utter perfection, and it’s a new favorite for sure!!

Note: I listened to the audiobook and loved it!! The narrators were awesome. Erin Mallon and Rupert Channing really bring the characters to life and the accents were on point. Usually, I enjoy reading instead of listening but with this book I loved actually hearing the story play out.
