5 stars!

The follow up to the amazing Transcend, I dove into this book with high hopes and I was not let down. OMG, this book! Again! My heart was on a rollercoaster of emotions and I felt everything. It’s a wild and angsty journey and it’s epically beautiful and romantic. I was captivated from start to finish and I absolutely loved it.

The last book ended on a bit of a cliffhanger… not that we were left hanging, but something big happened and we had no idea what the fallout would be. Well, the fallout is that Swayze is now trapped between her life, and memories of a past that isn’t hers. It’s hard and it’s heartbreaking, and she’s desperate for answers. But in her quest to unravel the past, she’s putting her entire future at risk.

“What if some people are meant to pass through our lives instead of walking along beside us?”

I’m not going to go into any more detail than that, because you need to discover this one on your own. It twists and it turns, and even when I was well over halfway through the book I still didn’t know how it was going to end, and I love how a book can keep me guessing like that. So don’t go looking for details!

This book is very much Swayze’s story, but the incredible Nate and Griffin are a huge part of her journey, and with the book written in all three POVs, I was feeling everything for all of them. I laughed, I cried, I ached, and I cried some more, and I loved these characters so damn hard!

“I think a part of you will be mine to love in every life.”

*sobs*

And even though it’s a bumpy and emotional ride, of course, it ends perfectly, the way it should, and after everything, it all felt so right.

“I didn’t find her. She didn’t find me. We found each other. It was effortless. It was perfect.”

I loved this duet so much. It’s a beautiful, emotional, epically romantic story that is stunningly written, and this book finishes it off perfectly.

“This life looks beautiful on you.”

*wails uncontrollably*

The audiobook is narrated by Andi Arndt and Stephen Dexter, who tell the story beautifully. I definitely recommend listening to this one!
