A sexy best friend’s brother romance from bestselling authors Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente!

I’m the wrong guy for her.

She’s sunshine and cherry pie. I’m whiskey and fast cars. I’m also keeping one hell of a secret from the woman I’ve wanted for years.

But when I find a list my sister left behind for Ruby, I’ve got no choice but to offer the sexy, big-hearted girl next door both a road trip and a chance.

A chance to discover how big she can dream.

And if some of those dreams play out in the bedroom? Well, there’s nothing wrong with a few — okay, several — hot nights together as we hit the beach, visit old stomping grounds, and test all sorts of limits, in and out of the sheets.

Seven days, then I’m off, moving across the country, far away from her.

No way can things get complicated in a week. Ruby and I aren’t the kind of dream that has a shot of coming true.

Especially once she learns what I’ve done.

GOOD WITH HIS HANDS is a sexy standalone romance in the Good in Bed series!

Review

4.5 “we are inevitable” stars!

I love a good friends-to-lovers romance and this one is entertaining. It has the right amount of heat, humor, and heart, and is the perfect mix of serious and silly.

Jesse and Ruby were always friends, but a tragedy brings them closer and they form a bond unlike any they’ve had before. To help Ruby heal from the tragedy that changed her life, Jesse gives her a list left by his sister and Ruby’s best friend, Claire. They have two weeks to get through a list before he heads to the west coast, and though they knew they would be checking off items and pushing Ruby’s boundaries, they never anticipated crossing lines they thought were firmly in place.

I adored Jesse and Ruby. They shared a grief that is heartbreaking and really related to each other. I loved the banter and the flirty moments between the two of them. It brought their friendship to life while giving us the sexual tension I crave from friends-to-lover romances. The progression felt natural and they really know how to turn on the heat when they decide to make the best of it during the two weeks, going all in before he leaves for good.

There’s something stirring between Jesse and me. Something different than the friendship we’ve been building the past two years. Something mutual, maybe. And that feels a little dangerous, but also exciting.

They both catch feelings and I love that even though they don’t jump at the opportunity to tell each other exactly how they feel, they don’t let unnecessary angst get in their way. I loved that they worked well together both as friends and lovers, and I believed their connection. They know each other inside and out, and they share a special bond because of Claire. I loved watching their feelings grow while still having their fun friendship stay strong.

I loved that the list brought Ruby out of her shell. And I am so glad that it was Jesse was along for the ride. Claire’s list was just what Ruby needed to really heal.

Claire didn’t leave me just individual missions. She left a bigger, underlying challenge.
It’s about being brave enough to open up to the world, to let it all in—the good and the bad, the things that are going to hurt like hell, and the things that are heavenly and sweet and healing. If I want the beauty, I’ll have to risk the pain.

It’s a fun and fresh new take on friends becoming lovers and I was hooked until the very end. There’s very little drama and they have to face the inevitable, but I think Ruby and Jesse handle it well. I loved the ending and the way things turned out.
