We had the opportunity to read one of the short stories featured in the anthology, Take A Chance On Me by Scarlett Cole.

This novella is available as part of the Dissent Anthology
Young Londoner, Violet, is working as a bartender when she meets Cam. They hit it off and spend a life-changing night together, both of them dreaming of the potential for so much more between then, until a misunderstanding sends Violet fleeing. But Cam will stop at nothing to show Violet that his intentions are sincere.
This is SUCH a cute romance. For such a short read, Scarlett Cole manages to create a passionate and heartfelt story that completely sucked me in. I adored these characters, I felt the chemistry between then, and I was so happy watching them come together, work through their misunderstanding honestly and functionally, and find their happy together.
“Vi,” he whispered.
“What?”
“I love falling in love with you.”
Vi grinned as she snuggled tighter against his chest. “I’m falling in love with you too.”
Violet’s brother, Bastian, and his rockstar fiancé, Indigo, are a great addition to the novella. Their own story is told in the Bluebonnet Anthology, and I’m keen to pick that up to see their beginning.
This is such a gorgeous read, I loved it!
