5 stars!

This is such a gorgeous read! A sweet, funny, sexy and emotional romance with fantastic characters, epic chemistry, and a whole lot of feels. This is the third book in the Alabama Summer series, the story of serial manwhore, Reed, who is knocked on his ass by a new arrival in town, and it’s a sensational fall.

Since his heart was shattered nine years ago, Reed has stayed away from anything resembling feelings or commitment. He is strictly a one-night-only guy, and he’s living the dream.

Beth has had a difficult life. She was homeless and all alone in the world, but she’s just learned that she has an aunt and uncle in Ruxton, Alabama, so she packs up everything she owns and moves in with them, where she is welcomed with open arms. It’s family, for the first time in her life, and she’s thrilled to be finally putting down some roots.

Reed and Beth meet at her family’s pub, and they are both gobsmacked from the moment they lay eyes on each other. Instantly attracted, their flirting is easy and natural, and with one kiss, their fate is sealed.

Now, this is a fucking kiss.
He’s all over me, kissing like a man who isn’t practiced with this. It’s wild and messy, and so unbelievably perfect.

Things get interesting when they end up faking a relationship, meaning they need to spend time together and get to know each other, which is something Beth is all for, but it’s way outside of Reed’s comfort zone… yet he can’t keep away. Over text, and in person, their conversations are fun, flirty and so easy. Beth is a breath of fresh air in Reed’s life. She’s confident yet innocent, sweet, no-nonsense, and wide open, with a smile that brightens his whole world.

She manages to look this perfect blend of innocent and I’m-about-to-fuck-your-world-up.

And when they get into their groove… holy hell, this book is SO steamy! Reed is a kinky, sexy bastard with a filthy mouth, and we see that over and over as these two explore each other in all the ways. They cannot keep their hands off each other, and their feelings for each other just make it all the more intense. It’s hella freaking hot!

A note about romance books: The harder the hero falls, the better the love story, and when it’s a manwhore who doesn’t ever want to fall in love… even better. And OMG, Reed falls HARD! And he has no idea what’s happening or how to handle it. It’s a fun, emotional and chemistry-filled ride for them as they figure out just how much they mean to each other, and I could not put this book down watching it all play out.

“Love should be unpredictable. I want it to hit me and like, knock me on my ass. And I don’t want it to take me years to realize that’s what I was feeling.”

Their pasts have left their marks, and they’ve both got emotional scars, so there is some drama along the way, but at the heart of this story is a gorgeous romance, and I loved watching these two find their way to their HEA.

The couples from previous books appear, and I loved catching up with them, and seeing them getting so much enjoyment from Reed’s frustration. And Reed’s relationship with little Nolan is just adorable.

This is such a great read. It’s fun, sexy but heartfelt, and I fell in love with these characters, and just how deeply and completely they fall for each other.

Such a gorgeous love story – 5 stars.
