3.5 stars

This is a really quick read, a fun little novella that is a bonus for the Hermosa Beach series, giving side-character, Otto a sweet love story. With only minimal interaction with the main characters of the Hermosa Beach series, this can easily be read as a standalone.

Otto is launching a new business endeavour for his company, and he will be travelling to Switzerland over the Christmas week, dragging his reluctant assistant along with him. Otto and Quinn bicker constantly – she thinks he’s privileged and shallow, he plays up on her animosity with his teasing and needling. But Otto is determined to prove to Quinn that he’s not a bad guy. A week in snowy luxury proves to be just what they need to need to strip off their workplace personas and really get to know each other. And would you know it… sparks fly.

“I want to kiss you,” he tells me, his voice coming out hoarse, like he’s aching. “I’ve been wanting to all day, and the only thing that will stop me is if you tell me not to.”

It’s a fun, sweet, sexy and romantic read, and I enjoyed this one.
