Release & ARC Review: Forgotten Dreams (Dream Series, #5) by Natasha Madison

Forgotten Dreams, the final book in the Dream series by Natasha Madison is live!

This is such a great read! A chemistry-filled romance that is sexy, low-angst and drama free, with a bit of a mystery, it’s fun and heartfelt and I really enjoyed this story.

This is such a great read! A chemistry-filled romance that is sexy, low-angst and drama free, with a bit of a mystery, it’s fun and heartfelt and I really enjoyed this story.

Sierra has just turned 25, and she’s just learned that she was adopted as an infant. Though she adores her parents, she needs to know where she came from so she goes off in search of her birth parents, and starts by buying a home in the small town of Montgavin, where she was born.

Caleb is a contractor who takes on the job of renovating Sierra’s new house. He’s very quickly all up in her space, and attraction sparks right away. It’s a fun start for them, especially with the added complication that Caleb very briefly dated Sierra’s best friend (though nothing happened between them), and I loved Caleb’s no-nonsense nature as he hides nothing and puts himself out there for the woman he wants so badly.

“You are so beautiful, you take my breath away. You are funny, smart, kind, a pain in my ass, snarky, and I know that I hardly know you, but fuck, you might just be fucking perfect.”

It’s pretty quick moving and very low angst, and I loved watching these two come together. The chemistry is so good, and the sexy time is seriously hot, and I loved their steamy and swoony romance.

“I’m going to go before I do something you aren’t ready for.”
… She looks at me. “And you’re ready for it?”
“Baby,” I say softly, my hand coming up to trail my fingertips on her cheek, “I was ready the second I laid eyes on you.”

Meanwhile, Sierra is searching for her birth parents, and when she starts receiving threats from somebody who wants her to stop looking into the past, the drama builds and Caleb goes all alpha protective, which is always fun to see in a romantic hero.

There is drama and mystery, but this is mostly a pretty light read with humour, heart, fun and romance that kept me invested from start to finish.

We get to see the couples from the last couple of books, which I enjoyed, and there are some fun tie-ins there. Caleb is the contractor who helped rebuild Everleigh’s bakery when it burned down, so she and Brock make a few appearances (Brock is so awesome!). And, of course, Sierra is best friends with Lilah from the previous book so we see Lilah and Emmett as well. Having said that, you can easily read this book as a standalone.

And in a fabulous twist for Natasha Madison fans, Caleb is the son of Jensen and Hailey from Perfect Love Story, and we get to meet his cousin, Theo (his parents’ book is Broken Love Story, and I’m hoping he’ll pop up in another book some day…).

The ending of the book brings surprises, and another emotional twist which brings the emotion, which I loved, and there is an epilogue which gives us glimpses of the couples from all the books in the series, which closes it all off really nicely.

This was a really enjoyable read. I loved Caleb and Sierra, and loved getting swept up in their love story.

4 stars.

About the Author

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…
