3 stars (only because it’s too short to be higher)

This is a super short (37 pages) read and shows us the meet-cute of Doug and Maddie, side characters from Just for the Summer.

(Maddie is the best friend of Emma from Just for the Summer, Doug is the best friend of Daniel, Emma’s brother and hero from Part of Your World. Sounds a bit tangled. It’s not important, just a fun tie-in).

They meet while Doug is walking a pig, and Maddie is on a penis scavenger hunt (yes, really). It’s funny, flirty and bantery, and I loved the chemistry between these two, but this barely counts as a bonus as it ends right when the spark is about to happen.

Still a fun read though. Nobody does meet-cutes and banter like Abby Jimenez.

“As you going to play the guitar for me or not?”
“You are so bossy.”
“Do you want me to leave?”
“Not even a little.” He grinned.
