5 cuddle time stars!

If You Keep Me is a delicious slow burn romance that brings on all the swoon. I couldn’t wait to get my hand on Flip and Tally’s love story and it did not disappoint! It’s my new favorite Toronto Terror story!

Tally has been friends with Flip for years. She’s almost ten years younger and still in university so friends are all they’ve ever been even though she has had a crush on Flip for what feels like forever. She’s tired of dating boys who only want her because she’s the coach’s daughter and still has her v-card. However, she is ready to lose it, she just needs someone she trusts.

Out of the blue Tally propositions Flip and though he turns her down, things shift between them. They spend time together with friends, but there is something brewing between them that is new and hard to deny. When Flip realizes that he truly wants her, he wants to do things right. He wants to give her all the things she’s missing and give himself the things he needs after the heartbreak he endured years ago.

Their connection is wonderful from when they are just friends to when they explore more. They are mature, don’t want their relationship to be a secret, and do things the right way. Dating and taking things slow lets them get to know each other’s wants and desires while strengthening their relationship. Since they have been friends for years, they know so much about each other already but they want to know even more. Both have some major challenges to overcome when it comes to managing a new relationship, but they are willing to try.

It’s such a great slow burn romance. The pacing was perfect and I loved the tension that builds each time they are together. I love that they can be vulnerable with each other and how close they become by opening up and talking about what they want. Everything is going amazingly and it all seems perfect, but Flip has a secret – one that has the ability to change everything.

I dreaded the scene where Tally finds out the truth Flip has been hiding. It hurt more than I thought even though I knew it was coming. There is a lot of growth and understanding between them as they figure out what to do after their hearts are broken. I loved that they knew what they needed so that they could eventually find themselves back to one another.

I loved this story and was swept away in the romance. Another 5 star read!

And another 5 star audiobook.  Duet narrator is my absolute favorite and the narrators were perfection. They brought the story to life with different voices that were full of emotion. I felt like I was living thier story right along with the characters. Everything was so well performed. I highly recommend this audiobook.
