4 sexy, swoony stars!

I love this series so much, and was so excited when Kristen Proby decided to release more books! This is the story of Amelia Montgomery – cousin to the Montgomery clan that make up the earlier books in this series – and while long-time fans will LOVE catching up with the entire crew, this one can also be read as a standalone – though of course you’ll be missing a whole lot of context when it comes to the other relationships.

Amelia ‘Leah’ Montgomery is a woman on the verge of achieving her dreams… until her ex tries to drag her backwards, and she needs to get out of town for a while. So she decides to leave LA and head home to Seattle for a while, where she is eagerly welcomed back into the fold.

Wyatt Crawford is an architect who is immediately entranced by the beautiful woman moving in across the road from him. He’s been badly hurt by a relationship in the past and while he has no intention of entering another one, when Leah comes knocking on his door asking for his help, the attraction between them proves impossible to resist.

I turn to him and see so much in his eyes. Affection. Lust. Trust. It’s the trust that makes my heart stutter because by God, I trust him, too.

I loved this relationship! Yes, it’s fast moving, but the chemistry between them is believable and absolutely sizzles. The sexy time is steamy hot, and there is LOTS of it, and neither of them hold anything back, enjoying each other, getting to know each other, accepting everything that is happening between them and falling completely in love. It’s fun, it’s functional, it’s sweet, sexy and swoony, and I love that we get to see SO much of them together!

Wyatt complements me beautifully. Where I’m a dreamer, he’s a thinker. Where I’m silly, he’s grounded. And the love he shows me in unlike anything I’ve ever known. There are no strings. No expectations. Just love.

But Leah’s past holds triggers for Wyatt, and when he learns the whole truth it will test everything between them.

This is such a gorgeous read. Like the others in the series, it’s predictable, but I kinda like that. This series is like comfort food – sometimes you feel like reading a book that won’t be full of surprises, you know it’s going to be a sweet, sexy and swoony ride with a bit of drama but that you’ll get your HEA in the end, and that’s exactly what this book is. I particularly loved how functional Leah and Wyatt are, and how they follow their hearts so honestly. They’re probably a bit hotter than the other couples of the series, and a little bit dirty, and that certainly wasn’t a problem 😉 Mistakes are made (by Wyatt in particular, grrrrrrr), but the swoony grovelling all makes up for it, and I love how in love these two are!

My heart shatters as his eyes fill with tears, and I know I’ve fallen just as hard as he has. I am his. And he is absofuckinglutely mine.

We get to see all of the characters from the earlier books, and I loved seeing them all – especially the boys being all protective of their ‘little’ cousin. I also loved being introduced to Leah and Wyatt’s siblings, and I am so excited that Wyatt’s brothers (well, at least Jace at this stage), will be getting their own stories.

I freaking love being back in this world. A solid read from Kristen Proby, I loved it!

4 stars.
